Makerspace Programs

Learn how to scan your slides and negatives then transfer and save them onto a USB/external memory. Following class, participants can book individual time to start their personal digitizing projects.

Hello Spring (set of two signs)
Join us for a relaxed evening, and make a pair of spring-themed signs. The signs will be made of wood and acrylic. A variety of paint and stain colours will be available for the wooden sign. A variety of acrylic colours will also be available. Large sign is 8”x8” and the small sign is 4.75”x4.75”. There will be three design choices for the large sign and three design choices for the small sign.

Do you miss watching your home videos? Join us for this one-hour class and learn how to digitize your home videos at the SPL Makerspace. Following class participants can book time to start their own digitizing projects.

Join us for a fun and creative time of card making. All the supplies will be out and available to use. Blank cards (4"x5.5") and envelopes, card stock and colour paper, scrapbook paper - lots of colours and patterns, stamps and ink, paper punches, and more! This is open creative time. No formal teaching provided, but we will have a number of examples. Make as many cards as you like during our time together..

Turn milestones and memories into beautiful lasting photos with sublimation printing on slate. You will work with your own photograph.

Create a wall-hanging for any room in the house using beautiful fabric samples and HTV vinyl. During this 2-hour class participants will learn how to create designs in Cricut Design Space, how to cut vinyl with the Cricut Maker, and how to press vinyl onto fabric.
